John Little heads the Audio Engineering Curriculum at Mount Wachusett Community College, and is Chairman of the Media Arts & Technology Department.  He posted a 4.0 GPA in a Master of Science degree in Applied Communication from Fitchburg State University, graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications/Media with a specialty in Television Production from Fitchburg State University, and holds an Associate of Science degree from Mount Wachusett Community College, in Public Communications.

Mr. Little has worked as a staff and freelance sound engineer in corporate video, and for network level television and radio.  His broadcast credits include: Good Morning America, Entertainment Tonight, The Disney Channel, The Discovery Channel, Extra, Inside Edition, Paramount Pictures, and National Public Radio.  He has worked with various celebrities such as: Adam Sandler, Billy Crystal, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Michael J. Fox, Stephen King, Joan Rivers, Mickey Rooney, the cast of Cheers, President George H. W. Bush, President Clinton, Bonnie Raitt, Don Henley, Daryl Hall, John Oats, and professional athletes.

Proprietor of Up-Side-Sound Recording Studio in Ashburnham, MA, since 1989, he has helped his clients earn awards including the New Hampshire Film Festival’s 2002 Best Documentary and the Rhode Island Country Horizons 2007 Best Traditional Country CD.

His former teaching experience includes 20 years as a High School Drum Line instructor, and 15 years as a PSIA level 2 certified ski instructor.

Jim O’Connell leads the video / film curriculum at Mount Wachusett Community College.  He teaches Media Arts courses in motion picture production and self promotion.   Mr. O’Connell holds a Masters degree in Mass Communication from Emerson College, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire.

A  news broadcaster for over twenty years, he has served as Executive Producer, Producer, Associate Producer, and Master Control Supervisor for various radio and TV stations around New England, including Boston’s ABC affiliate WCVB, Hartford’s CBS affiliate WFSB, and Providence’s NBC affiliate WJAR.  Among several awards to his credit are the AP News Citation, …

Mr. O’Connell’s educational work includes teaching journalism and communications at Franklin Pierce University.  He has done extensive work in podcasting, co-hosting for many years a movie review series, as well as a current-events podcast centered the cities and towns in the Berkshires.

In his spare time he enjoys photographing the old mill buildings and diners around New England.

Edward Stapel is an adjunct professor of photography at Mount Wachusett Community College.  He holds an MFA in photography from Savannah College of Art and Design as well as a BA in English from the University of South Carolina.  He has over a dozen years of experience teaching photography, art, and media studies courses.  He teaches courses in traditional, digital, and historical photographic processes, from introductory to advanced levels.  Edward is also interested in the fluidity of photographic information afforded by digital, mobile, and social media platforms, and the impact that these new forms of photographic communication have on the medium.  In addition to teaching, Edward has worked as a freelance photographer and a photojournalist.  He has exhibited his photographs in numerous solo and group exhibitions.

Norm Eggert, owner of Norm Eggert Photography, has operated this Massachusetts based company for over 30 years. Norm Eggert Photography specializes in editorial photograpy of the New England region – photographs of the New England landscape, cities and towns and her inhabitants – as well as, photographing events, weddings and  individual and group portraits. Norm and his wife Cheryl live on a farm in northern Worcester County, where they raise merino sheep.  Norm has taught photography for over 30 years at various places, but for the last 12 years he has taught at Mount Wachusett Community College and The Worcester Art Museum. And he has taught small group workshops at various places. Norm is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and in the past has taken photography classes and workshops at Harvard, and the Worcester Center for Crafts, and studied with Ron Rosenstock.

Stephanie Marchetti teaches courses in Film Appreciation and Mass Media.  She is an adjunct professor for the Liberal Arts and Science Division at Mount Wachusett Community College, and serves full time as an Academic Advisor, specializing in Financial Literacy and Student Success.  She holds a Masters degree in Applied Communication from Fitchburg State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree also from FSU, in Communications/Media, with a dual concentration in Film and Video Production, and a minor in Professional Writing.

After an internship with Maura Tighe Casting in Boston (now Christine Wyse Casting), Stephanie turned to a professional career in higher education.  She is a freelance writer for HGTV.com, and has contributed to features in This Old House magazine, DIY Lifestyle magazine, The Huffington Post, She Knows, and BobVila.com. Stephanie is savvy in website maintenance, public relations, media kit creation, and self-promotion.
