Within the Media Arts & Technology degree program, courses in the Audio Engineering Concentration allow students to specialize in skills necessary to pursue positions in professional sound engineering. Through hands-on training, classroom study, and research, students receive training in all aspects of the industry. Graduates can explore careers in music, radio, television, cinema, gaming, and theatre.

Photography Concentration (MRTP)

Within the Media Arts & Technology degree program, the Photography Concentration allows students to focus on the necessary skills to enter the field of professional digital photography. Today’s photographer is artistic, technically and technologically skilled, as well as business savvy. Photography Concentration degree holders can explore careers in studio/portrait photography, commercial photography, photojournalism, and digital imaging. A Photography Certificate (PHO) is also offered.

Photography Certificate (PHO)

The Media Arts & Technology department, in addition to its four degree paths, offers this one certificate in Photography. The Photography Certificate requires nine courses compared to the Photography Concentration’s 20. The Photography Certificate can be completed in one year, and all of its curriculum may apply to the Photography concentration if students choose to continue. Both specialize on the necessary skills to enter the field of professional digital photography.

Within the Media Arts & Technology degree program, students specifically interested in careers in video, television, filmmaking, or related industries may elect to complete this Video / Film Concentration. Students experience all aspects of preproduction, studio and location recording, and postproduction editing. Instruction includes extensive hands-on experience with today’s equipment and technologies. Throughout the production process emphasis is placed on efficient message design, effective storytelling techniques, and thorough preproduction planning.
