LPN Bridge to A.S. Nursing Degree (NU)

MWCC offers currently licensed LPNs a Bridge Program to complete requirements for the Associate Degree in Nursing.

Photo of students applying bandagesCredit is given for the first semester (NUR111) of the associate degree program allowing applicants to enter advanced level nursing courses. Students testing into pediatric and obstetrical nursing will begin day classes in May (NUR 115). All students will enroll in a transitional nursing course (NUR 116) in the summer (day only). Second year courses begin in August in the hybrid format with class held one Saturday a month and one 12 hours clinical day per week. NUR 115 and NUR 116 are held on the Gardner campus. The remainder of the program is offered on the Devens campus. Interested candidates must meet minimum requirements for consideration and apply by the deadline. The program is approved by the Massachusetts Board of Nursing and accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing:

LPN Bridge Program

Requirements for Consideration:

Applicants must be currently licensed LPNs with one year of work experience in the field of nursing and must meet all the same requirements as those of the A.S. Nursing Degree. In addition, applicants must have completed ENG101, PSY105 and BIO203.

Those accepted students who have not completed PSY110, BIO204 and BIO205, will be required to complete these courses concurrently with NUR115. Application deadline in January 15th. Courses in progress at time of application deadline will not be considered as meeting these requirements.
