K-12 Partnerships

Mount Wachusett Community College administers several K–12 Programs (known as Access and Transition) which provide middle school, high school, and adult students with an array of academic, college, and career awareness services including academic and career counseling, tutorials, workshops, and activities. Services are generally provided through targeted grant initiatives. In addition, Access and Transition hosts several annual events and activities designed for students and parents, which are open to the public.

The Massachusetts Early College Initiative

In March 2017, state education agencies launched the Massachusetts Early College Initiative to celebrate the progress and success of pioneering early college efforts across the Commonwealth and lay out the path forward for expansion. Attendees heard from state education leaders and dynamic early college leaders. MWCC’s Student Trustee was featured in a video about the early college experience from the student perspective.Video by Tom Cruz Productions.
Students featured: Jasson Alvarado Gomez (Mount Wachusett Community College), Thaddeus Alexis (Ben Franklin Institute of Technology), Aliya Nisbett (Marlborough High School) and Reginal Osirus (Charlestown High School).
