Steps to Enrollment

Welcome to Mount Wachusett Community College!  Select from our list of associate degree or certificate programs, or simply take a couple of courses for personal growth or transfer. Either way, it is easy to get started…just follow these steps:

Get Started…Complete a College Application!  You can apply online or submit a paper application. High School and College Transcripts can be sent to: MWCC, Office of Admissions, 444 Green St., Gardner, MA 01440.  Have questions?  Ask the Office of Admissions at 978-630-9110 or admissions@mwcc.edu.

Apply for Financial Aid.  Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov.  Have questions about financial aid?  Contact the Financial Aid Office at 978-630-9169.  If you need help applying for financial aid, contact the Educational Opportunity Center at 978-630-9823.

Connect with MWCC via iConnect.  iConnect is your connection to Blackboard for online courses, your MWCC student email, course registration, financial aid, and so much more.  After you are admitted, you will be issued an iConnect and student email account.  Access iConnect at http://iconnect.mwcc.edu.

Welcome Session and College Placement Test.  Schedule your New Student Welcome Session and College Placement Test together!  Appointments can be made online at http://www.mwcc.edu/testing/appointment or with the MWCC Testing Center, on the Gardner campus, at 978-630-9244, or Leominster at 978-630-9812, or Devens at 978-630-9569.

Register for Classes at a Smart Start Registration Event.  Your Academic Advisor will discuss your academic plans, develop a comprehensive educational plan, review student services, and help you register for classes.  To make a reservation for a Smart Start Registration Event, please visit http://www.mwcc.edu/smartstart.  Questions?  Call 978-630-9110 or admissions@mwcc.edu.

How am I Going to Pay for This?  Paying for college can be daunting.  The MWCC Student Accounts Office is there to help!  Make arrangements for payment, waive the health insurance costs, learn about the Mountain Lion Debit Card, and more.  Contact the Student Accounts Office at 978-630-9149 or bursar@mwcc.mass.edu.

Submit Your Health Information.  Full-time students must submit Immunization and Medical History Forms, with their physician’s signature. This combined form is available at http://mwcc.edu/health/files/2011/12/Immunization.pdf and is submitted to MWCC, Health Services, 444 Green St., Gardner, MA 01440 or faxed to 978-630-9528. Orientation!  Get off to the right start with a great introduction to campus.  Attend orientation and learn more about important campus resources, be introduced to campus life, and obtain your Student ID. You will receive an invitation to orientation during the summer for fall enrollees and during the fall for spring enrollees. Orientation is required for all New and Transfer Students.

Purchase Your Textbooks. You can purchase textbooks at MWCC Bookstore or from an outside vendor. If you purchase from the MWCC Bookstore, you can do so in person or online at www.whywaitforbooks.com.  Stop in to see the staff in the bookstore with any questions.
