On March 14, from 5 to 7 pm, we will be hosting our fourth annual United Way Youth Venture Spring Showcase at the Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg, MA. The UWYV Spring Showcase is a unique event that presents the wide-ranging, inspiring, and innovative social ventures of the engaged public school students in North Central MA. It is an opportunity for parents, teachers, business and community leaders to see how teams of young social entrepreneurs are leveraging their passion and skills to generate solutions for their school’s and community’s challenges. The event will give community members an opportunity to hear from 70 active Venture Teams and support their efforts, and meet other invested community members.

Please register in advance so we can plan accordingly. Suggested ticket donation of $5 each.

Buy them early here!  **

**Note: Venturers click “Tickets without making a donation”; friends, family & community members click “Tickets” to make the five dollar (optional) donation.

For Venturers

We are looking to get as many Venture Teams as possible to present their programs at the Spring Showcase. It is a great opportunity for Venture Teams to create greater community awareness for the positive work that you are doing as well as to raise funds for your cause! For Venture Teams to be involved, here are a few things you need to know:

  1. Applications for interested Venture Teams are due on February 15th to your Champion or UWYV staff member
  2. All teams must have at least two members in attendance at the event to ensure that your table will be continuously covered
  3. Please arrive by 3:30 pm in order to have time to set up your table and eat before the event begins
  4. Trifolds for teams will be provided if needed. If you would like to use your trifold from last year’s event, please let us know.
  5. Remember that this event is an opportunity for you to fund raise if you are interested. Please let us know on the application what you will be doing for your fundraiser.
  6. Only launched teams or pipeline teams that have a panel date scheduled will be allowed to be a part of this event.
  7. All teams involved must have every condition fulfilled and all paperwork turned in to be a part of this event.

If you and your team are interested in being a part of the Spring Showcase, please reach out to your Champion and primary UWYV Staff member to receive the application.

For Parents

This event is a great opportunity for parents to learn more about the program their child has been involved in and see firsthand the impact that their student’s Venture Team has had upon the North Central Massachusetts community.

For Sponsors

Sponsoring the UWYV Spring Showcase will provide you with the opportunity to support social innovation in public schools by harnessing youth’s entrepreneurial power in dealing with the important issues of their community. Most importantly, your support is a source of inspiration for young people and those who work to shape more productive citizens with values of empathy, industry, and resilience. Please take the time to review the sponsorship levels listed below to find the one that best fits your organization’s desired community impact.
