All internship, service learning, and MWCC-affiliated volunteer hours must be reported by MAY 1, 2017 through GivePulse to be eligible for the MWCC Service Recognition Program

Service Reporting Deadlines

All Spring 2017 internships, service learning, and MWCC-affiliated volunteer hours must be reported to the Senator Stephen M. Brewer Center for Civic Learning and Community Engagement by:

May 1, 2016 

*MWCC-affiliated volunteerism during the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 semesters can be reported through June 30, 2017 for all students. Hours reported by 2017 graduating students after May 1st will not be counted toward the Service Recognition Program, but will be noted on the student’s transcript if submitted and approved by June 30th, 2017.

Timesheets for all Fall 2016 internships, service learning projects, and MWCC-affiliated volunteerism must have been submitted to the Senator Stephen M. Brewer Center for Civic Learning and Community Engagement by:

Saturday, December 17, 2016 (the final day of classes for full semester courses)

Faculty or staff approvals of such timesheets are due no later than December 24, 2016


Information about student community service is collected and reported to the Corporation for National and Community Service and has helped MWCC achieve the Carnegie Classification in Community Engagement and Outreach and Partnershipsas well as earn the Presidents Community Service Honor Roll each year since its inception in 2006. The data is also used to assist in leveraging funding and support for new civic engagement and service learning initiatives.
