Masters Swim Team

Masters Swimming

Hosted at the Mount, the Greenwood Masters Swim Team is an adult swim team designed for both the swimmer who desires a structured workout, formal competition training or aspiring triathletes.

There are typically 2-3 coached practices per week, historically Monday evenings, Wednesday mornings and select Saturdays. Swimmers also may practice outside of these times on their own or with the posted workouts for the week.

Participation on the team requires:

  • A current MWCC Fitness and Wellness Center membership (non-member option available)
  • Swimmer MUST be a current registered United States Masters Swimmer (for insurance purposes)
  • Submit the yearly masters team fee of $80 (contact for non-member pricing)

The Greenwood Masters Swim Team is considered a “workout group” in the New England Masters Swim Club. You may register as a NEM club swimmer and choose Greenwood Masters at the following website:

In general, the team trains from September until March, culminating with the teams participation at New England Short Course Masters Championships hosted at Harvard in mid March. Participation at any sanctioned masters swim meet requires membership as a registered United States Masters Swimmer and is a separate fee.

The Greenwood Masters Swim Team is coached by MWCC Aquatics Staff Assistant and ASCA Level 3 Masters certified coach David C. Graham.
