Performing Arts Showcase Highlights Campus Talent

Theatre students Evelyn Island-Mateo, Josh A. Breau, Alana B. Jones and Jeremy Zendzian, perform a scene from Thornton Wilder’s The Happy Journey to Trenton and Camden.

Singing, dancing, music, photography and video shorts were among the highlights of the Performing Arts Fall Showcase, presented by the School of Liberal Arts, Education, Humanities, and Communications.

The December 11 event , held in the Raymond M. LaFontaine Fine Arts Center theatre, showcased the talent of more than three dozen students and several faculty members. Initiated earlier this year at the end of the spring semester, the Performing Arts Showcase will become a featured event at the end of each semester.

“The Performing Arts Showcase highlights the talented faculty and students in our growing creative and performing arts classes at Mount Wachusett Community College,” said Dr. Stephen Grieco, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts, Education, Humanities and Communications.

“This year, the addition of a new Digital Piano Lab and new classes in Guitar, Piano, Modern and Hip Hop Dance, has really expanded our offerings for all levels of students.  I am extremely proud of the work of our students and faculty.”
