(GARDNER)--Mount Wachusett Community College is seeking nominations for 40 “Summit Awards” to commemorate its 40^th anniversary.  The awards will honor faculty, staff, alumni and community members who have made a significant contribution to the life of Mount Wachusett Community College during the past 40 years.  Recipients will be honored at the MWCC 40^th Anniversary Celebration to be held at the Four Points Sheraton in Leominster, Sat., Oct. 5.  This event will be the culmination of a week’s worth of events marking this important milestone in the college’s history.

“This college has become what it is today because of the support and guidance of community members from all walks of life,” said Mount Wachusett Community College President Daniel M. Asquino.  “As we look back on the past 40 years, we want to acknowledge the incredible contributions these folks have made.” Nomination forms for the Summit Awards may be obtained by contacting Professor Gail M.
