MOUNT WACHUSETT COMMUNITY COLLEGE
TRUSTEES SWORN IN

 

(GARDNER)– Jay Davis Drake of Gardner, Lance D. May of Lunenburg and Tommy Davis of Gardner were recently sworn-in as a Mount Wachusett Community College Trustees by First Justice of the Gardner District Court Patrick A. Fox. 

Drake is the current Chair of the Board of Trustees and also oversees the Harold E. Drake Jr. Citizen of the Year Award, which recognizes community members for extraordinary commitment to the North Central Massachusetts region.  The award, in memory of Harold E. Drake, treasurer and former president of Royal Steam Heater Co., and Lynde Hardware & Supply Inc., is awarded every spring at the Mount Wachusett Community College Foundation Annual Dinner.

May serves on the Massachusetts Republican State Committee and is employed by the Department of Revenue. 

Davis, who is expected to graduate in 2003, will serve as the Student Representative to the Board of Trustees as well as MWCC the Student Government Association.

"We are very fortunate to have trustees so dedicated to community service," said Mount Wachusett Community College President Daniel M. Asquino.  "As we embark on our Decade of Civic Engagement at Mount Wachusett Community College, it will be an honor to work with these trustees."
