Skills

MWCC students can assess their interests by taking the Strong Interest Inventory with one of our career counselors. This assessment measures interests and suggests careers based on these interests. We also offer the Self Directed Search, which is a self–administered, self-scored, and self-interpreted career counseling tool. The Career Ability Placement Survey measures one’s abilities related to occupations.

People who are not enrolled at MWCC can take the Self Directed Search online for $9.95 at www.self-directed-search.com.

You will receive a 10 page report suggesting careers based on your answers.

What to be or not to be? That is the question. More self-assessment info from monster.com:

Personality

MWCC students can take the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to understand careers that may match their personality types. This is administered through one of our career counselors and then interpreted. This is an excellent assessment to help determine lifestyle environments suited to your personality.
