DANTES* Subject Standardized Tests (dsst) can make it easier for students of all ages to complete their degrees more quickly. Students may be able to:

  • Place out of a graduation requirement or an introductory course.
  • Get credit for what you already know.
  • Shorten the time needed to earn a degree.

Preparing to Take a Dantes Exam

You can find information about each test, in the dsst Candidate Bulletin, a directory of colleges that administer and accept Dantes results, and technical data on the methods used for scoring the exams on the Web site. You can;

Dantes Registration Procedure

  • Register with the Testing Services and pay non-refundable fee of $32.00 prior to scheduling an appointment to take a Dantes test. Certified check or U.S. money order can be made payable to MWCC; Visa and MasterCard credit cards will be accepted. Personal checks and debit cards will NOT be accepted.
  • On the day of testing bring a photo ID and $70.00 payment. Certified bank check or U.S. money order can be made payable to Chauncey Group ; Visa, or MasterCard credit cards will be accepted. Personal checks, debit cards, and cash will NOT be accepted.
  • Arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled testing time.

To make an appointment to take a Dantes test or for more information, stop by or call the Testing Services at 978-630-9244 located in Room 128C (to the right of the Library).

Accommodations for Students with Disabilities

Prior to registration, call the Dantes Test Center 609-720-6500 about testing accommodations. Only students with documented hearing, learning, physical, or visual disabilities are eligible to receive testing accommodations. Students who do not receive routine accommodations from their schools either for instruction or assessment are not eligible.
