MWCC Community Garden

Welcome to The Community Garden, sponsored by W.E. Aubuchon, Co., Inc., GFA Federal Credit Union and Mount Wachusett Community College, with technical assistance by Chuck Tarleton of Sunset View Farm in Winchendon.

The Community Garden will start for it’s second year and continue with the intention of helping area residents and families who want to be more connected with their food, but who may not have the space at home to plant their own garden.

All levels of experience are encouraged to participate. For those who have never grown their own food, or have only done so minimally, the garden coordinator will be available to assist with any questions.A class on organic gardening is also going to be held on Saturday May 8th from 10am to noon. Applications for the 20 x 15 foot plots are now being accepted. The plots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. A community till day is planned for Saturday May 1st, weather permitting. The garden will officially open on Saturday May 29th.

For more information, please leave a message for the garden coordinator at (978) 630-9262, or email communitygarden@mwcc.mass.edu.

The Garden Coordinator

Amanda is currently attending the University of Massachusetts and is working on a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Food and Farming. She will teach the organic gardening class and provide assistance throughout the growing season.
