SPECIAL STARS PROGRAM
(in collaboration with THE ARC)

 

Adults with intellectual or developmental disability will be introduced to basic stage skills and acting techniques in a step by step process that is easy to understand and a lot of fun! This program is open to all, regardless of level of experience.
Parents and family members are encouraged to join the students for this program.

Learn the fundamentals of acting from experienced Theatre at the Mount performers in fun and challenging workshops designed for all ages!

No Experience Needed       

GET IN THE ACT! (Kids – grades 1 through 3)

Spark your child’s imagination and introduce your budding actor to the world of theatre. We’ll create characters, tell stories, play theatre games, sing songs and dance. On the last day we will share the magic with parents.
GARDNER CAMPUS – Six weeks – Mondays, 4:30PM to 5:30PM (February 1, 8, 22, 29, March 7, 14)
Instructor: Paige Crane

GET IN THE ACT (Juniors – grades 4 through 8)

Learn how to shine on stage – Broadway style! We’ll build the foundation of acting through improvisation, pantomime, characterization, stage direction, song and dance. On the last day we will share the magic with parents.
GARDNER CAMPUS – Six weeks – Mondays, 5:30PM to 6:30PM (February 1, 8, 22, 29, March 7, 14)

GET IN THE ACT (Teens and Adults)

Everybody can act with the right tools! We’ll develop the actor’s toolbox through vocal exercises, pantomime, improvisation, stage direction and movement. Character development, scene building and audition techniques will also be in the spotlight.
GARDNER CAMPUS – Eight weeks – Wednesdays, 6PM to 7PM (February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 2, 9, 16, 23)

SPECIAL STARS (Teens and Young Adults)

Teens and young adults with special needs will learn basic stage skills and acting techniques in a step by step process that is easy to understand and a lot of fun! This program is open to all special needs teens and young adults regardless of level of experience or severity of disability. Parents and family members are encouraged to join the students for this program.
GARDNER CAMPUS – Eight weeks – Wednesdays, 5PM to 6PM (February 3, 10, 17, 24, March 2, 9, 16, 23)
