Water Safety Instructor Course
Candidates must be 16 years of age on or before the final day of the course Sunday June 13th. Proof of age must be presented at the pre-test on in the form of a birth certificate, driver’s license or passport.
This is a blended learning course, with the candidates using online learning and test-taking to accent classroom skills. Access to the internet and a printer are required for this course. The course requires classwork outside of listed class times.
Pre-Test Session/Course intro: Date: Saturday May 22nd Time: 10:00AM
Students who do not pass the pre-test will not be permitted to attend the course!
Pre-Test requirements: Candidates must swim 25 yards of each of the following strokes: Front Crawl, Back Crawl, Elementary Backstroke, Breast Stroke and Side Stroke. Students must swim 15 yards of Butterfly. Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water (sculling or floating) and tread water for 1 minute. All of these skills must be performed at a Red Cross Level 4 or higher.
Course Information: Candidates must be prepared to be in the water and classroom at all dates listed below. Candidates must attend all class sessions, no exceptions.

Fee: $338 – Mount Fitness Fee (Fee must be paid in full at time of registration)
Cancellation: If the student withdraws before May 22nd a $50 non-refundable fee will be applied. If the student withdraws on or after June 5th a $100 non-refundable fee will be applied. If the student fails the Pre-Test, a $100 non-refundable fee will be applied.
• There is a 10 participant maximum and a 5 participant minimum for this course
• Punctual attendance is required AT ALL CLASS SESSIONS, NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE!
