Set in the 1980’s, Fame the Musical focuses on the hopes and dreams of a group of students at New York’s High School for the Performing Arts. The musical chronicles their 4-year odyssey from audition to graduation at the school whose unofficial motto is “Fame costs and this is where you start paying.”
