Subscribe to MWCC News MWCC is hosting its first United Way Day of Caring on Thursday, Sept. 19 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Commons area of the Gardner campus. The event will feature United Way Youth Venture’s Kylee’s Kare Kits for Kidz. Kylee, a fifth grade student from Leominster and her friends raise money and accept donations in order to buy food to make care kits for elementary students throughout North Central Massachusetts who are in need.
The project will feature MWCC students, faculty, and staff joining together to collect the donations and package the kits. The first shift will take place 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. and the second shift will take place 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. Volunteers are welcome to help Kylee prepare 16,000 packages for disribution. The event is being coordinated by MWCC’s Center for Civic Learning and Community Engagement and UWYV.
