New STEM Building & Campus Renovations Nearing Completion

New building August 2016Construction of our new STEM building and improvements to the Haley Academic Center are quickly wrapping up. The second half of August saw a flurry of activity as the contractor, Shawmut Design and Construction, completed phases of the work and unveiled sections of the buildings that had previously been hidden behind temporary walls. Cleaning crews swept through the buildings and new furniture was delivered.

The interior work is substantially complete and final approvals are imminent. The exterior work on the concrete panels will continue into September, and the new greenhouse is expected to be complete in late November.

Improvements to the theater in the Raymond M. LaFontaine Fine Arts Center is also nearing completion. While some work in the Haley building will continue into the fall semester, the projects will be coordinated to reduce disruption to classes as much as possible.
