Paraprofessionals play an important role in schools, working alongside teachers and other education professionals to support student learning and create positive classroom environments. Whether you’re exploring a new career, returning to the workforce, or looking for a meaningful way to contribute to your community, paraprofessional training can help you get started.

Through this program, eligible participants can:

  • Prepare for certification. Qualify to take the Paraprofessional Certification Exam, an important step toward pursuing employment in the field.

Why Consider A Career As A Paraprofessional?

Paraprofessionals are valuable members of school communities. They work with teachers and students in a variety of educational settings, providing classroom assistance, supporting individual learning needs, and helping students succeed.

For individuals who enjoy working with children, value education, and want to make a positive impact, becoming a paraprofessional can offer a fulfilling career path. It can also provide an introduction to the education profession for those interested in exploring additional opportunities in the field.

To participate in MWCC’s free paraprofessional training program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
