The MWCC First Line Supervisor program is a comprehensive leadership development program designed for Group Leaders, emerging leaders, and First Line Supervisors who need the practical skills and confidence to lead effectively in today’s fast-paced and competitive business environment. It can be delivered in 75, 90, or 150-hour cohorts, in-person or virtually.
The curriculum focuses on the essential competencies required of frontline leaders, including Introduction to Leadership, Employee Relations and Understanding Human Behavior, Team Building, Effective Communication, Conflict Management, Mentoring and Coaching, Public Speaking and Presentation Skills, Active Listening, Project Planning and Scheduling, Problem Solving and Decision Making, Time Management, Team Communication, Foundations of AI for Business, Change Management, and Managing in a Lean Environment.
Participants will learn how to transition successfully from individual contributor to leader, communicate expectations clearly, motivate and engage employees, address workplace challenges, manage competing priorities, resolve conflict, and support organizational change and continuous improvement.
Training emphasizes practical application through real-world case studies, workplace scenarios, instructor-led discussion, individual and group exercises, presentations, relevant readings, and video-based learning. Participants will have opportunities to apply leadership concepts to situations they encounter in their own workplaces, strengthening both their immediate effectiveness and their long-term supervisory capabilities.
