Lawrence NFOR Joins Board of Trustees at Mount Wachusett Community College

Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC) is pleased to announce Lawrence NFOR as the newest member of its esteemed Board of Trustees. NFOR brings a wealth of experience in finance, community leadership, and educational administration to the Board.

Currently serving as the Senior Director of Finance and Administration at the Boys & Girls Club of Fitchburg and Leominster and Gardner, NFOR has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service and financial stewardship throughout his career. Prior to his current role, NFOR held key positions at notable institutions including the Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) and Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC), where he made significant contributions to finance and operational excellence.

NFOR ‘s background includes extensive experience in finance roles at organizations such as Integra Companies at Devens and Avery Dennison in Fitchburg. His international experience includes seven years with the Cameroon Baptist Convention, where he served in roles spanning internal audit, treasury, and financial analysis.

“We are thrilled to welcome Lawrence NFOR to our Board of Trustees,” said MWCC President James Vander Hooven. “His deep expertise in finance, coupled with his strong commitment to community development and educational excellence, will be invaluable as we continue to serve our students.”

In addition to his professional achievements, Lawrence is an active member of the Leominster and Northcentral Massachusetts community. He currently serves as board Secretary on the Leominster Public Library Board of Trustees and has been recognized with the Black Excellence on the Hill award on Beacon Hill for his outstanding contributions.

An alumnus of MWCC, NFOR also holds an MBA from Fitchburg State University and a BA in Accounting from UMass Amherst, Isenberg School of Management. He has pursued additional undergraduate studies in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from the University of Buea, Cameroon. He currently serves as an adjunct Professor at Fitchburg State University, imparting his knowledge to future leaders in finance and administration.

Outside of his professional commitments, NFOR is an active leader in the Cameroon community of New England, serving as Chair of the WICUDA-USA board of trustees and holding leadership positions at the First Baptist Church of Westminster.
