Mount Wachusett Community College’s Marcia Rosbury-Henne Named American Council On Education Fellow

Mount Wachusett Community College (MWCC) is proud to announce that Marcia Rosbury-Henne, Vice President for Enrollment Management, has been named an American Council on Education (ACE) Fellow for the 2026–2027 academic year. Following nomination by senior leadership and a rigorous national selection process, Rosbury-Henne joins a cohort of just 31 Fellows selected nationwide—and she is the only Fellow from a community college in this year’s class.
Established in 1965, the ACE Fellows Program is one of the most prestigious leadership development programs in higher education. It is designed to prepare emerging leaders for senior-level administrative roles through an intensive, cohort-based mentorship model. More than 2,500 higher education leaders have participated in the program, including nearly 150 who currently serve as college and university presidents or provosts.
“At a time of significant change across higher education, strong leadership has never been more important,” said ACE President Ted Mitchell. “As a result of the program, Fellows will be well-positioned to navigate this evolving landscape, bringing fresh perspectives, practical experience, and a commitment to shaping the future of higher education. Congratulations to this year’s Fellows. We greatly appreciate their commitment to advancing institutional innovation and student success.”
“Marcia’s selection as an ACE Fellow is a testament to her exceptional leadership and deep commitment to student success,” said MWCC President James Vander Hooven. “Her ability to align enrollment strategies with meaningful student outcomes—while fostering a culture of belonging and support for both students and staff—has had a profound impact on our institution. We are incredibly proud to see her recognized at the national level and look forward to the insights she will bring back to MWCC”.
A results-oriented higher education administrator, Rosbury-Henne brings more than 27 years of experience in admissions and enrollment management, including nearly 16 years at MWCC, as well as prior roles at Holyoke Community College and Eastern Nazarene College. She is recognized for her ability to strategically align enrollment management with student success to optimize outcomes, with a strong emphasis on staff wellness, belonging, and advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion throughout the student lifecycle.
At MWCC, Rosbury-Henne oversees enrollment management, including admissions, advising and retention, marketing and communications, financial aid, student records, and career services. Her leadership is grounded in a people-first approach that emphasizes coaching, collaboration, accountability, and positivity—creating supportive, high-functioning teams that drive institutional growth and improve student persistence, retention, and graduation outcomes. She holds a Master of Education in Higher Education and is currently a doctoral candidate at the American College of Education.
“I am honored to be selected as an ACE Fellow and grateful to Mount Wachusett Community College for this opportunity,” said Rosbury-Henne. “I look forward to learning from leaders across the country and bringing new insights back to MWCC to further support our students and community.”
The ACE Fellows Program combines retreats, interactive learning opportunities, campus visits, and placement at another higher education institution. During this placement, Fellows work closely with senior leaders, participate in high-level decision-making, and explore key issues facing higher education. The experience is designed to accelerate leadership development by condensing years of on-the-job learning into a single year.
At the conclusion of the fellowship, participants return to their home institutions equipped with expanded leadership skills, new perspectives, and a national network of colleagues.
