We are pleased to welcome Holly Poissot as the Student Speaker for the 55th Commencement Ceremony of Mount Wachusett Community College.

Ms. Poissot is the first in her family to graduate from college. She has earned a 3.2 GPA and will be receiving her Associate Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies – Allied Health. This fall she will continue on her journey to become a nurse in the MWCC nursing program. In addition to completing her degree, Ms. Poissot is a front line hero, working as a critical care technician in the emergency room at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester, MA. She is a member of the Trio Rx program and is graduating in the Commonwealth Honors Program. Originally from Baton Rouge, LA, she moved “up north” in 2012 and currently resides in Rutland, MA with her three children, Callie (16), Dylan (11), and David (15) and her puggle Dougie.

Ms. Poissot’s message of resilience in the face of unbelievable odds is a powerful reminder to never give up, and truly represents the resilience of the MWCC Class of 2020.
