At Mount Wachusett Community College, our Kids & Teens programs are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence, and keep young learners active, engaged, and inspired. From school vacation weeks to summer adventures, children and teens enjoy hands-on learning experiences in a safe, supportive college environment—while having fun and making new friends.

Summer Adventures Programs

The MWCC Adventures Programs are affordable summer and school vacation offerings for students in kindergarten through 8th grade and feature sports, arts, science exploration, and field trips. Each program features a mix of creative projects, STEM exploration, arts, physical activity, and interactive group experiences that encourage collaboration and curiosity.

Program Overview

Exploring science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on projects

  • Participating in creative and educational activities
  • Staying active with movement, games, and sports
  • Socializing with peers and building teamwork skills
  • Enjoying special experiences and occasional field trips

Programs are thoughtfully structured to balance learning and fun, giving parents peace of mind while kids stay engaged and energized.

  • Week 3 (July 6–10):
    • Basketball (Ages 6–11)

  • Week 5 (July 20–24):
    • Fun in the Sun (Ages 6–11)

  • Week 6 (July 27–31):
    • Martial Arts (Ages 5–13)

    • Cheering (Ages 5–12)

Counselor In Training (CIT) Program

  • Duration: 6 Weeks
  • Ages: 13–14

Counselor In Training (CIT) Program

6 weeks, Ages 13 or 14 at time of registration
This program is to help guide and nurture your interest working in youth programming. Gain important skills and experience working alongside the Summer Adventures team. This program is meant for students 13 or 14 years old who have a strong interest in learning about how to support the program. CITs will have level appropriate responsibilities and expectations.
