Payments

MWCC offers several ways to pay for tuition and fees, including credit cards, checks, payment plans, financial aid, scholarships, waivers, and third-party payments.

All charges must be paid by the due date listed on your student bill to avoid class cancellation.

Current students should log into iConnect to view billing details, make a payment, enroll in a payment plan, and access information on waivers, scholarships, financial aid, and required documents.

Refunds

If you withdraw from a class, you must complete an official withdrawal form to be considered for a refund. Refund amounts depend on when you withdraw, and refund deadlines are listed on the academic calendar.

Refund policies may be different for short-term, weekend, online, or noncredit courses.

Current students should log into iConnect to review refund dates, policies, and withdrawal information.

What is a refund?

As financial aid is credited to your account, it is applied to all the charges that exist on your account. If a credit balance remains after all charges are paid, you will be refunded the amount of the credit. All refunds are made through the refund method selection you make with Nelnet

Who is Nelnet?

Nelnet is an industry leader partnering with schools to provide refunding and payment services.  Choices for refunds include an electronic deposit to the students’ bank account or to a reloadable debit card supplied by the student.

Why is MWCC switching to Nelnet?

MWCC partners with Nelnet to process payments and offer payment plans. By adding Nelnet Refunds, students can manage all of their financial activities in one convenient place.

Can I use any bank account?

You must have a U.S. checking or savings account. International bank accounts are not permissible.

How quickly will I receive my refund

Funds are deposited directly into your bank account or reloadable debit card within 3 business days of the refund appearing on your student account. Fuds sent via check are received within 10 business days.

Is my banking information safe?

Absolutely! Nelnet uses encrypted, secure systems to protect your data.

What if I change my bank account?

Update your information online at least 2 business days before the disbursement date.

I have a Bank Mobile Vibe account. Can I continue to use that account

MWCC will cease its contractual agreement for refunding services with BankMobile on June 30th 2026.If you have a BankMobile Vibe account, you can still use it to receive your student refund, although you may have to pay service charges on that account after June 30th 2026. Please review the terms of your Vibe Checking Account for more information about potential fees.

If you prefer to continue using your BankMobile Vibe account to receive your refund, you must set it up as Direct Deposit within Nelnet Refunds.

How much money will I receive through direct deposit?

The amount you receive will vary depending on the disbursement schedule and your eligibility for financial aid. After all tuition, fees, and other charges are paid, any leftover funds will be disbursed to you via direct deposit.

Will all students receive disbursements?

No, not all students receive disbursements. Only students who are eligible for financial aid and have a credit balance on their account after MWCC charges are paid will receive funds. The disbursement schedule and individual financial aid packages determine the timing and amount of any refund

When will I receive a refund?

Refunds are issued on a set schedule with funds being processed through Nelnet once a week initiated each Thursday.  All refunds are processed through Nelnet. MWCC  does not issue refund checks outside of the Nelnet refund process.
