The Office of Multicultural Affairs & Student Engagement (OMASE) is a dedicated space at the intersection of student support and student learning. At OMASE, students can explore identity, engage across differences, build meaningful relationships, and deepen their understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Identity, Connection, And Learning

We recognize that identity is complex and shaped by many lived experiences and social contexts, including race, culture, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, geographic origin, religion or spirituality, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, and more. These identities do not exist in isolation. They intersect and influence how students experience college, community, opportunity, and access.

Our work is grounded in creating:

• Identity-affirming learning experiences

Institutional Advocacy And Support

Sometimes students need more than information or a referral. They may need identity-affirming advocacy and support from someone who can help them:

• Connect with appropriate campus or community resources
• Address barriers that may affect their college experience
