Invest In Student Success

Since 1972, the MWCC Foundation has helped expand educational opportunities for students and strengthen communities throughout North Central Massachusetts. Through the generosity of donors, alumni, businesses, and friends, the Foundation provides critical funding for scholarships, student support services, innovative programs, and campus enhancements that help students succeed.

When you support Mount Wachusett Community College, you are investing in the future of our region. MWCC graduates become the nurses, dental hygienists, teachers, mechanics, veterinary technicians, firefighters, police officers, and business professionals who keep our communities thriving. Your gift helps remove financial barriers, create opportunities, and empower students to achieve their goals.

Each year, the Foundation awards more than $450,000 in scholarships, helping students access an affordable, life-changing education. Donor support also helps fund emergency student assistance, technology and learning resources, and other initiatives that make a meaningful difference in students’ lives.

State funding alone is not enough to meet the growing needs of our students and community. Every gift—regardless of size—helps provide the resources students need to learn, graduate, and build brighter futures. Together, we can continue transforming lives through education.

Matching Gifts

Matching Gifts

Increase the impact of your donation through your employer’s matching gift program. Many companies will match charitable contributions made by their employees, allowing your gift to go even further in supporting MWCC students. Check with your employer to see if your contribution qualifies.

Scholarships

Scholarships

General Scholarship Fund

A gift to the General Scholarship Fund provides flexible support, allowing scholarship dollars to be directed where student need is greatest.

Annual Scholarships

Donors may contribute to an existing scholarship or establish a new annual scholarship. These funds provide immediate assistance to students and can be supported through a one-time gift or ongoing contributions.

Endowed Scholarships

Create a lasting legacy through an endowed scholarship. Endowed scholarships are established with a minimum gift of $10,000, which may be fulfilled over three years. Because the principal remains invested, the scholarship continues to support students year after year while honoring an individual, family, or organization.

Named Endowment Funds

Named endowment funds provide a permanent source of support for scholarships, programs, or initiatives while creating a meaningful connection to your family, business, or organization. Investment earnings from the fund generate long-term support that continues to make an impact for generations.

Annual Fund & Unrestricted Giving

Annual Fund And Unrestricted Giving

Unrestricted gifts to the Annual Fund provide the flexibility to address the College’s most pressing needs and greatest opportunities. These contributions help fund scholarships, enhance facilities, support faculty development, strengthen student programs, and launch innovative initiatives. Gifts of every size make a difference and are directed where they can have the greatest impact.

Planned Giving

Planned Giving

Planned gifts allow you to make a lasting impact on future generations of MWCC students while potentially providing financial or tax benefits for you and your family. You may choose to include the MWCC Foundation in your estate plans through a bequest, life insurance policy, retirement account beneficiary designation, charitable annuity, or trust. We encourage you and your advisors to contact the Foundation to discuss the giving option that best aligns with your philanthropic goals.

“Mount Wachusett Community College pushed me out of my comfort zone or, should I say, gently nudged me with their guidance and assistance in completing my first degree at the age of 61. I am not your typical undergraduate. I am not the typical age, not the typical student, and I certainly did not take the typical amount of time to complete this degree.”
