Monty’s Market
Our Mission
The Wisconsin Hope Lab’s 2017 study on food insecurity and homelessness, which surveyed over 33,000 students across 70 community colleges in 24 states, highlights a pressing issue: two-thirds of community colleges report significant food insecurity among their students (Goldrick-Rab et al., 2017). This data underscores the urgent need for accessible food support to help students reach their academic and personal goals.
At Monty’s Market, we are dedicated to tackling this challenge directly. Our mission is to offer nutritious, free food and essential resources to students, easing the stress and barriers associated with food insecurity. We believe that every student deserves to concentrate on their education without worrying about where their next meal will come from.
Thanks to the efforts of our campus and surrounding communities, Monty’s Market, the MWCC Campus Pantry has two locations, in Gardner Room H155 and in Leominster Room L102!
