Mount Wachusett Community College’s main campus in Gardner is the largest in the state community college system, with 269-acres including a pond, forest with walking trails, and greenhouse. The Gardner campus also boasts two wind turbines, a biomass heating facility and solar panels, that enable the college to generate nearly all of its energy needs on-site, making it nearly carbon neutral.
Also in Gardner, the college’s Automotive Technology facility is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art educational campus with high bays, an engine laboratory and classrooms, and student lounge and locker rooms. The Automotive Technology campus is only 4 miles from campus.
The Gardner campuses have easy access to Route 2, and is served by the MART regional bus system which also connects to the MBTA Commuter Line at the Westminster station.
The Leominster campus is located near Route 2 and Route 12, near the Fitchburg border, and is also served by the MART regional bus system. The Leominster campus was fully renovated in 2022 with 14 upgraded classrooms and laboratories as well as a student center, learning commons, and food pantry.
The Fitchburg campus is co-located with Community Health Connections and is focused on the college’s Dental Hygiene program. In 2023 patient rooms and laboratories were renovated and offer students experiential learning while offering low-cost or free services to community members.
