Testing Services

Description: ATI TEAS is a standardized test designed specifically to assess your preparedness for health sciences. It is a required exam for admission to Associate-level programs and certificates in Nursing and Physical Therapy. The test MUST be taken at an MWCC Testing Services location; scores are not accepted from other testing sites. Scores will be accepted for TEAS tests taken 3 years before the program’s application deadline.

How to Register: Register for your exam at www.atitesting.com. Please see the ATI site for current pricing. MWCC Testing Services cannot register you for this exam.

Retests: Three attempts are allowed within 365 days from the first attempt. Retesting requires an additional registration and test fee for each attempt.

Students should check www.atitesting.com to confirm available MWCC TEAS testing dates at our Gardner and Leominster locations.

On Test Day:

• Be certain to bring your ATI username and password written down—you may not have digital access.
• Valid government-issued Photo I.D. and signature is required (license, student ID card, high school ID, passport, driver’s permit, etc.)
• Food, beverages, calculators, electronic devices, or personal items will not be permitted in the testing room. Storage space will be provided.
• Scrap paper and a pencil will be provided.
• Use of unapproved materials will invalidate your test and score.
• Friends, family, and guests may not accompany test-takers into the testing room. Anyone not testing, including parents and children, must wait outside the Testing Services Office. Please read more about policies for MWCC Guests and Visitors on Campus.
• Because of the close confines and size of testing spaces, Testing Services strongly encourages all test-takers to wear masks.
• Scores are instantly available following the test
• Absent applicants will have to register and pay the full fee again.

Accommodations: If you require accommodation, please be sure to visit MWCC Disability Services to secure accommodation before registering for your exam. Accommodated TEAS are only given during the morning.

Description: CLEP is a nationally recognized, standardized test used to grant college credit for a variety of courses and disciplines. After taking a CLEP exam title, a 3-month waiting period is required before that title may be retaken. This is a Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) option.

How to Register:

1. Visit your academic advisor or the Advising, Career, and Transfer Office (advisor@mwcc.mass.edu, 978-630-9109) to determine which CLEP tests are appropriate for you.
2. Register on the CLEP website. Both the College Board and MWCC have fees for this test. The CLEP fee is paid online at the time of registration; the MWCC fee is paid on-site in exact cash or check.

On Test Day:

• Be certain to bring your printed registration ticket—you may not have digital access.
• Bring a valid government-issued Photo I.D., such as a driver’s license or passport, to present to the proctor.
• Be prepared to pay a $20 MWCC testing fee by exact cash or check only.
• Food, beverages, personal calculators, electronic devices, or personal items will not be permitted in the testing room. Storage space will be provided.
• Scrap paper and a pencil will be provided.

Description: MWCC is an authorized testing site for Pearson VUE exams.

How to Register: Although some tests may vary, most registration and scheduling is done through Pearson VUE site. You will likely pay the Pearson VUE exam fee at the time of registration.

On Test Day:

Test days follow the general guidelines below, although Pearson VUE may have some differences among tests. Be sure to read their website for specific variations in process.

Description: Testing Services provides proctoring options for faculty who choose to offer make-up and retests for on-campus or distance education students.

How to Register (for Faculty):

1. Submit a Teacher Request Form (MWCC Login required) to Testing.

On Test Day:

Faculty members should advise their students of the following information related to their proctored test day:

• Bring a valid government-issued Photo I.D., such as a driver’s license or passport, to present to the proctor.
• Only materials listed on the Teacher Request Form such as a calculator, notes, etc. will be allowed at the time of the test. Storage space will be provided. Discuss what is permitted with your professor, preferably before they send the Teacher Request Form.
• Friends, family, and guests may not accompany test-takers into the testing room. Anyone not testing, including parents and children, must wait outside the Testing Services Office. Please read more about policies for MWCC Guests and Visitors on Campus.

Accommodations: Encourage students who require accommodation to visit MWCC Disability Services to secure accommodation before the exam is scheduled.

Remote Proctoring

Proctoring services are available for campus community members and distance learning students enrolled at other institutions. There is a flat rate proctoring fee of $25/day (non-refundable cash or check only). Service is provided by appointment. Description: MWCC students with documented disabilities may take their tests with accommodation. Tests may be taken either with the professor or with Testing Services. All accommodations begin in the Disability Services Office. Student Disability Services will review your documentation and provide you with an accommodation notification letter.

How to Schedule with Your Professor (for Students):

• Talk with your professor to see if they will be available to proctor your exam with your accommodations.

How to Schedule with Testing Services (for Students):

2. Send a copy of your accommodation notification letter to Testing Services at testingservices@mwcc.mass.edu.
3. Speak with your professor before scheduling your test; remind your professor to send a Teacher Request Form (MWCC Login required) to Testing.
4. Contact Testing Services (testingservices@mwcc.mass.edu, 978-640-9244) to arrange a time and place for the exam on the Gardner campus. If you need to test on the Leominster campus, please contact the Testing Services Center there at A_Lunn-Marcustre@mwcc.mass.edu or 978-630-9173.

Teacher Request Form Submission Guidelines (for Faculty):

• View this Accommodations Testing Process presentation for faculty to understand the process.
• The Teacher Request Form (MWCC Login required) is in Dynamic Forms. Please fill it out completely.
• Submit one form per test. List all students on the form.
• Each test should include a 3-day window for administration (except Nursing); submit a new form if the window must move.
• Submit the form at least 48 hours before the exam window.
