Need a Project Designed?

We can help!

Deadline for Submissions: Friday, January 19, 2024

The Graphic & Interactive Design Department at Mount Wachusett Community College is looking for “real-world,” service-learning projects for every student who has enrolled in our capstone Portfolio Prep and Production course.

Service-learning is an experiential, educational project developed as part of our students’ coursework. Our students will use this experience to learn how to work with a client, and for most students, this will be their first opportunity to put their skills to use on a “real-world” design project.

These projects will require time and commitment on the part of the client (you or your designee) to meet online with the student designer and/or via phone, provide all necessary content and information, and work with the student to create achievable goals and deadlines.

Before submitting a project proposal, please read the following guidelines:

  • Students will not start these projects until after their class begins on January 23rd
  • Projects with a January or early February deadline cannot be accepted.
  • Please describe your project, as detailed as possible. Include your deadline (if applicable), the name, phone number, and email of the person who will be available and can remain in close contact with our student designer.
  • All projects must be for non-profit or not-for-profit organizations.

*Any requests received after January 19 will not be considered.

Project Examples

Examples of projects our students worked on last spring include the design of new websites for non-profit organizations, the redesign of an existing website that needed "freshening up", special event and promotional web ads, and digital marketing campaigns. Additionally, students worked on a large variety of print media projects including posters, brochures, advertisements, logo design and branding, invitations, and much more.
