Spring 2024 Semester New Student Welcome!
Thursday, January 11, 2024
(In case of snow, the event will transition to Zoom)
This required event will give you the tools and information you need to get off to a terrific start in January and help you have a successful semester! Plus – who doesn’t love free food, goodie bags, and prizes?
All students attending MWCC for the first time in the Spring 2024 semester are required to attend the New Student Welcome. This includes students transferring in from another college or university, students beginning the PN (practical nursing) program, and any returning student who has been away from MWCC for more than two semesters.
Attending the New Student Welcome will ensure that you are fully prepared to begin classes on January 17th by giving you the tools to be successful at MWCC.
Register for New Student Welcome
We understand that MWCC students have busy lives and often have many obligations outside of school, including children. For this reason, the New Student Welcome is a family-friendly event and you are welcome to bring your children and other family members (significant other, parents, etc.) with you if you desire. MWCC offers a limited Child Watch Service for students which will be available during New Student Welcome. Childwatch space is limited and will be offered on a first-come basis through your event registration.
If you are able, please bring with you whatever technology devices (laptop, tablet, phone) you will be using for your coursework, this will provide you an opportunity to ensure that you are able to connect to the college Wi-Fi and have access to any necessary college programs.
