Kick off your college experience with confidence, connections, and essential resources at MWCC’s New Student Welcome! Dive into sessions tailored just for you, meet fellow students, and explore campus life in a fun, supportive environment.

Programming Highlights

• Navigating Blackboard and Technology at MWCC: An interactive, hands-on session focused on using Blackboard, MWCC’s Learning Management System. Students will learn how to navigate their courses, submit assignments, and utilize communication tools.
• Student Panel: Gain real insights from students just like you! This is your chance to hear their tips and ask questions.
• Learning Success Center & Library: Introduction to the Learning Success Center’s services including academic support and learning resources. You will also learn how to set up appointments for academic consultations (tutoring appointments with the Learning Consultants).
• Academic & Career Community Exploration: A review of the Academic and Career Community Action Plans, with a focus on academic program milestones, career pathways, and key resources.
• Student Support & Student Life Resources: Overview of key support services available to students, including Counseling, Disability Services, and Student Life offerings. Meet the Dean of Students and get connected to your support network.

And don’t miss the Optional Essentials Campus Tour and Walk Your Schedule session! End the day by getting comfortable with your class locations and navigating the campus with staff ready to assist you.
