Subscribe to MWCC News The Visions and Rx Programs annual awards ceremony was held on May 13, 2024, hosted by the TRIO Student Support Services Program Director Guarav Khanna, Program Manager Gloria Correa, and Staff Assistant Kristine Barrameda.
The Visions and Rx Programs are TRIO Student Support Services programs at Mount Wachusett Community College, funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The program’s mission is to help students persist in college through graduation and to assist those who wish to transfer to a four-year institution. TRIO is based on the belief that students are best able to realize their individual potential and achieve their academic goals with the necessary personal and academic support. The Visions and Rx services include intensive academic advising, transfer counseling, professional tutoring, and supplemental instruction.
Visions Program staff are Learning Specialist Stephanie Chancey, Retention Specialist Lauren Clifford, Operational Coordinator and Transfer Counselor Sara Pingeton, Academic Advisor Sam Morin, Learning Specialists Danielle Douglas and Leah Horeanopoulos, Professional Tutor Margaret McNamara. Rx Program staff are Retention Specialist Amy Moury, Transfer Counselor Alaina Lucchetti, and Professional Tutor Raquel Ramirez.
The recipients of the 2024 Visions Achievement Award are Catrice Jerry and Sanjay Vyas. The recipient of the 2024 Rx Achievement Award is Taylor Joyce.
The President’s Award recipients are Michael Mosher and Karina Rosado for the Visions Program, and Neyi Rijo Alvarex for the Rx Program.
