Institutional Surveys

The OIRA coordinates and administers a wide range of surveys relevant to student development and MWCC strategic planning. The OIRA also has access wide range of demographic and academic data about our students and alumni. In many cases, this data will be more accurate and require considerably less effort to gather than using a survey. Before planning a survey of students, faculty or staff, please consult with the OIRA.

Community College Survey of Student Engagement (CCSSE) (cessie)

The CCSSE is a widely used national survey which collects information on student engagement. It has questions that assess institutional practices and student behaviors that are correlated highly with student learning and student retention. CCSSE provides two comparison groups in the reporting.

Survey of Entering Student Engagement (SENSE)

Real College Basic Needs Security Survey

 

Established in 2015 the #RealCollege survey is now the nation’s largest most well established annual assessment of students’ basic needs. The survey consists of questions on the following topics: employment, finances, food insecurity, housing insecurity, homelessness, childcare affordability, utilization of public benefits, utilization of campus programs, and demographics that allow for subgroup analyses.
