Subscribe to MWCC News Cards to veterans and a memorial tribute in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 victims of the terrorist attacks in 2001, will mark MWCC’s 9/11 reflections.
MWCC’s Center of Excellence for Veteran Student Success will host a visit from the Patriot Riders to the Gardner and Devens campuses. The tribute will include a ceremonial raising of the flag to half-staff and a reading at 8 a.m. at the Gardner campus flagpole, and at 9 a.m. at the Devens campus main entrance. The Patriot Riders will return to the Gardner campus at 7 p.m. for a ceremonial lowering of the flag and return to full-staff.
The college community is also invited to write cards of appreciation and support to veterans during an activity sponsored by the Center for Civic Learning and Community Engagement in partnership with the Veterans Success Center. Cards will be available outside the Career Services offices beginning Friday, Sept. 11. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The project will continue the following week.
