Mount Wachusett Community College’s Brewer Center has released a Kindness Calendar for March that gives suggestions of small ways people can have a positive impact on other’s lives.
“We had such a great success with our Do One Thing campaign that we wanted to keep the momentum going. This calendar is a way for students, faculty and staff to receive a suggestion every day for a small way that they can have a positive impact on another person’s life,” said the Center’s Director Shelley Errington Nicholson.
The suggestions include “Thank a veteran for their service”, “Hold the door for someone today”, and “Text a friend or family member to let them know you are thinking about them.” Each day offers a concrete action that someone can take. During the evolution of Do One Thing, Errington found that people responded well to simple, straightforward ways they can make a difference.
