Help Desk is here to keep your technology running smoothly. We support college-owned equipment, help students connect personal laptops to campus Wi-Fi, and provide services such as account setup, email, network access, equipment requests, password resets, printing, and more. Our team is available weekdays 8AM–4PM on the Gardner Campus located in H0238 (downstairs in the library) and with phones open 24/7 for assistance.

Wi-Fi Access

MWCC provides secure, high-speed wireless at the Gardner, Leominster, and Fitchburg campuses.

MWCC Devices: College-owned laptops have full access to MWCC network resources.
Personal Devices: Students, faculty, and staff can connect personal devices to the internet using the eduroam network. Eduroam also works at other participating campuses once configured at MWCC. Antivirus software is required.

How to Connect to Eduroam:

  • Select the network ID “eduroam.”
  • Enter your MWCC username followed by @mwcc.mass.edu (e.g., jdoe@mwcc.mass.edu) and your MWCC password.
  • Accept the certificate (or choose “Do not validate” if prompted on Android).

Guest Access: Visitors may connect to the MWCC Guest network for basic internet access. This free, unsecured network should not be used for sensitive transactions.

Student Email & Accounts

If you are a registered student, you must activate your account in order to obtain your unique username and password. Passwords are randomly generated and are case-sensitive. They cannot be customized.

Account Setup

All students must fill out the Account Activation form to generate a new username and password.

  1. Go to iConnect
  2. Click the “Activate your Account” link below the login form
  3. You will need your student identification number (available from Student Records).
  4. Follow the prompts in the next windows to create a password for your account.

These new credentials will give you access to MWCC computers, access to MWCC’s wireless network (via your own laptop, or phone), and iConnect (Email, WebConnect, Blackboard are all available via iConnect).

Forgot your credentials? No problem, go to iConnect and click on “Student Password Reset” and follow on-screen directions.

Forwarding Email to Another Email Address

If you have another email account that you would prefer to use, you can easily re-direct your MWCC email to that account. To do this,

  • Sign in to your MWCC Gmail account.
  • Click the gear icon (⚙️) and select “See all settings.”
  • Go to the “Forwarding and POP/IMAP” tab.
  • Click “Add a forwarding address.”
  • Enter the email address you want to forward to and complete the verification process.
  • Once verified, select “Forward a copy of incoming mail to” your new email address.

Please be sure to test the re-direction by sending an email to yourself.
